Robert came to YO! Westside as an ex-offender wanting to improve his life by earning a GED and finding permanent employment. After completing YO/STRIVE job readiness training, he secured a construction position at P & J Contracting Company, Inc. In addition, Robert is currently working toward his goal of obtaining a GED and has been attending classes to build the skills needed for the GED exam.

Victoria is now happily embarking on a new life. With an infant daughter to take care of, Victoria decided that she wanted more for her family. She earned a GED while attending YO! Baltimore, completed job readiness classes and completed an internship at the Bon Secours Hospital Washington Village Medical Center. Victoria is now in training to become a pharmacy technician.

Tylese has two children and is working hard toward a better life. She completed her GED in June 2004 and offered inspiring remarks to her classmates at graduation. Tylese recently graduated from Baltimore City Community College and is now a certified nursing assistant. She plans to take the state board exam for her geriatric nursing assistant certificate. Her long term goal is to continue her education to become a registered nurse in pediatrics.
